11 Top 20 CD's since 2000 (Billboard)
"Be Blessed (No Stress)" peaked #6 @ Billboard Radio.
Ragan Whiteside’s “See You at The Getdown Club” peaked #9 @ Billboard Radio f/ Bob Baldwin. Congrats to Ragan and Dennis Johnson.
Lori Williams “Out of the Box”, featuring yours truly on Production, made big waves on the UK Soul Charts, flying high at #1 in November and December of 2018. Look for some summer shows overseas in Austria with the UK on the horizon.
“Bob Baldwin Presents Abbey Road and Beatles” f/ Ragan Whiteside, Lori Williams, CeCe Peniston, Euge Groove, and the Baldwin NY Band.
“Club Life” made waves, being the first radio single to have 11 soloists at once, including Meadows, Whiteside, U-Nam, Beasley, Browne, Nils, Silk, Sommerville, Anderson…
January 8, 2019 marks the 31st year of my first release, "I've Got a Long Way To Go". Can't believe I've reached this milestone. The title alone says it all....so how does the celebration continue?
I thought the best way to celebrate is to put out more MUSIC!!
We’ve been celebrating with releasing tracks! In late 2017, we released two reissues, "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Remixed and Remastered) and "Never Out of Season" (Remixed and remastered) because it was important to keep up with the hi-res hi-bit rate of the 2010's and beyond.
In fall of 2018, "Welcome to the Games" (Remixed and Remastered) (originally released 1997) will be released later this year.
Since 2017, tracks produced for Dee Lucas, Vocalist Brenda Reynolds ("We Got The Funk"), Pianist Madoca and DC Vocal sensation Lori Williams.
NewUrbanJazz Radio recently aired it’s 500th weekly show on October 1, 2018 IN WEEKLY SUCCESSIONS.
WHO IS BOB BALDWIN?
INVENTOR: "Abbey Road and the Beatles" is Bob Baldwin's 25th career solo disc...Baldwin rolled out discs #22 and 23 in 2016 with his "The Brazilian-American Soundtrack," and "The Gift of Christmas", with music recorded in Brazil and the United States....In 2017, look for remixes of some of his past recordings leading up to his 30th year Anniversary (1988) as a solo artist. Look for shows coming up overseas, including the UK. Baldwin's on the move.
AS PRODUCER/COMPOSER: Look for more produced projects of various instrumentalists and vocalists in 2017. Between 2014-2016, Baldwin has written music that has been recorded by Paul Brown/Bob James (#1 Radio), Richard Elliot, Marion Meadows, Ragan Whiteside, and Euge Groove. There's more to come, including some strong indie artists. Stay tuned...
AS CURATOR: As curator of the NewUrbanJazz Live Music series (a spin off from his radio program), look for events coming up in various cities starting with an exciting program at the Berks Jazz Fest w/ Tom Browne, Marion Meadows and Walter Beasley. We are pleased that our efforts to improve musical quality on a local and national level caught the attention of the New York Times in 2011 (see article).
AS RADIO HOST: With over 40 stations and a following of 500,000 listeners weekly, the NewUrbanJazz Radio program continues to flourish, with new stations to be added to Boston and Detroit. Stay tuned, or visit our radio page. Join the movement! Visit us.
AS INVENTOR: Yes, you read correctly. More on that in the months to come. Please stand by...
